Client - Pharmaceutical division of a world leader $32B Health Care Company.
Presenting Business Need - The Company wanted to enhance their current leadership position and ensure competitive marketplace advantage by segmenting product and customer portfolios according to the value customers desire and what the company can offer to achieve business goals.
Solution - The focus of the initiative was to achieve cross functional alignment and generate solutions for enhanced portfolio management processes that enable better product and customer prioritization and investment decisions. Primary deliverables were as follows:
- Members understand project context, are bought-in and involved in formulating decisions.
- Members understand work needed and accomplish much of the work in session, set expectations and establish timelines collectively.
- Determined enhanced brand and account planning processes.
- Defined clear roles & responsibilities.
- Established aligned objectives, incentives and incentive systems.
- Planned for proactive communication & collaboration.
- Established a strong foundation for resolving subteam issues so solutions are rolled-out in a timely fashion.
- Worked with more than 68 key individual leaders and sponsors over a total 3-day period.
- Using 3 professional facilitators, lead engaged dialogue processes to vet issues, explore challenges and determine solutions across 1 core team and 3 different subgroups with corresponding subteams.
- Rolled out results from group subteams to on board contributors company-wide.
Impact - Core and subteams were able to quickly communicate solutions and receive buy-in from the field. Collectively they saw the need and generated the energy and solutions to address the challenge. Diverse issues across stakeholders group were resolved. Improved business results: profits, customer satisfaction and increased competitiveness as well as enhanced account management leadership.
