Experience/Background:

Jim Intagliata is founder and owner of the NorthStar Group, a firm that focuses on enhancing the success of business enterprises by assisting them to excel in selecting, developing, and optimally leveraging their leadership talent.

In his more than 20 years of consulting experience, Jim has gained extensive experience in the assessment and selection of individuals for key senior positions, providing one-on-one development coaching for executives, working with CEO's/boards on management succession, designing highly customized leadership competency models and related applications, developing and implementing 360-degree feedback programs, , training executives/managers in interviewing skills, and assisting organizations to more effectively manage the integration process following acquisitions/mergers.

He has worked with a diverse group of clients who represent a variety of industries and who range in size and maturity from venture capital backed start-up companies, to medium size businesses striving to get to the next level, to Fortune 100 companies dealing with new challenges in their business and marketplace. His clients have included: Ameritech, Amoco, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Borg-Warner, Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, CIGNA, Emmis Communications, First Alert, General Electric, Hallmark, Humana, ITW, Kaiser Permanente, Kraft, Lincoln Financial Group, the Limited, McDonald's, Miles Pharmaceuticals, Nike, Oscar Mayer, Principal Financial Group, Quaker Oats, Steelcase, Thorn EMI Americas, Trilogy Software, and the Tribune Company. Prior to founding the NorthStar group, Jim served as a Senior Consultant with RHR Intl. and as Midwest Regional Director of Human Resources Planning and Development for the Hay Group, He has also held faculty positions at the State University of New York at Buffalo and the University of Missouri at Kansas City and has taught organizational theory and management at the graduate level.

Education:
Jim received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1976 from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
