Experience/Background:

Elaine R. Millam is a senior consultant, a master coach and facilitator specializing in leadership development & multi-rater (360°) feedback, executive coaching, strategic planning and organizational effectiveness, transition and change management. Elaine has developed leadership competencies and supporting tools for multiple organizations. She has also been involved in the design and delivery of numerous team-learning experiences, using peer group coaching as an explicit learning mechanism. Her coaching work is focused on helping clients achieve positive, long-term change in leadership behavior as well as a plan for realizing their future vision. She has a leadership development model that guides the coaching process, focusing on character development as a baseline. She teaches leadership development at the graduate level at several Universities and with the Office of Navy Research in Washington, DC.

Elaine has over twenty years of experience as an executive in a Fortune 50 firm in Human Resources and a senior leader in Organization Effectiveness as well as Leadership Development. She is an author of several publications, including Facilitation and You, Performance Management, and Strategic Human Resource Planning. She has published documents and articles on The Workforce of the Future, The Changing Employment Relationship, Action Learning, Changing Leadership Expectations and The Global Learning Organization. Elaine has organizational leadership experience within the private, public and non-profit sectors, leading design and implementation of small and large system change efforts. She has delivered numerous public speeches and public workshops on leadership effectiveness, change and renewal. She enjoys leading small groups aimed at purposeful change, helping people realize their dreams.

Education:
Elaine has her doctorate in Educational & Organizational Leadership from The University of St. Thomas. She has two Masters' degrees - Educational Psychology and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota. Her undergraduate degrees are in Education and Sociology. She is a Master Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.
