Experience/Background:

Brian Underhill, Ph.D. is a senior consultant and coach with Alliance for Strategic Leadership, specializing in leadership development & multi-rater (360-degree) feedback, executive coaching, organizational culture and customer service recovery. Brian has developed leadership competencies and related 360-degree inventories for multiple major organizations. He has also been involved in the design and delivery of numerous executive team learning experiences. His executive coaching work has successfully focused on helping clients achieve positive, measurable, long-term change in leadership behavior. He has also helped pioneer the use of "mini-surveys", a unique measurement tool to help impact behavioral change over time.

Brian co-develops new alexcelgroup products and publications (including The Evolving role of Executive Leadership with the Andersen Consulting Institute for Strategic Change). He has also conducted extensive research on organizational culture (and its impact upon customer service recovery) within the telecommunications industry. Services in Granada Hills, CA. He contributed to the launch of Humanomics' OD consulting division, developed content for a new HR-related website, and successfully implemented a new company-wide database. Brian's pre-consulting career includes experience in the entertainment industry, the non-profit sector, and several years as an elementary school teacher.

Brian is a former Chairperson of the Los Angeles Organizational Development Network. He is also a member of the American Society of Training and Development-Los Angeles, the National Organizational Development Network, and The Learning Network, an exclusive association of top training and development professionals.

Education:
Brian has a Ph.D. and a M.S. degree in organizational psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (Los Angeles) and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Southern California.
